CAF T2

The CAF T2 is our 24V to 12V model that allows for a reliable 12V power point without affecting/draining the main batteries used to operate the vehicle. If a high power 12V is required a high Ampere Hour battery can be fitted but in general a 7AH battery proved to be sufficient where the typical use is to drive chargers/radios.

Low end converters/inverters are not capable to reliably sustain a high load for an extended time making this module the preferred option.

It can deliver up to 20Amps and are fused with a self resetting trip. Output is also limited by the capabilities of the vehicle alternator fitted. Can be fitted by any one with basic electrical knowledge.

Its usage is intended to, but not limited to, charging an extra battery used to provide the 12V power point. Are robust, reliable and uses proven technology with no complicated electronics. The extra 12V battery can be omitted but can cause radio interference and power will only be available while the engine is running.
